Pat is a 4th generation fisherman from Boat Harbour. His grandad Bill Richardson and his son Tom Richardson worked together all their life and now Pat has continued the family tradition, working alongside his dad Tom, fishing for lobster, ocean haul for mullet and ocean trap and line. Pat also worked overseas, taking a position on board a research vessel for five years, working closely with national geographic, pristine seas surveying damaged marine locations.
